Charlestown is a historic Boston neighborhood on a peninsula between the Charles and Mystic Rivers. Dris delivers to the whole neighborhood, from the narrow streets around Monument Square and Bunker Hill to the newer buildings near Sullivan Square and the Navy Yard.
Many Charlestown streets are narrow and one-way, so enter your full address and unit number at checkout to keep the handoff smooth.
Charlestown is one of the oldest parts of Boston, and Dris drivers deliver to homes on its narrow streets, from the rowhouses around Monument Square and Bunker Hill Street to the buildings near City Square, Thompson Square and the Navy Yard. Main Street, Medford Street, Rutherford Avenue and the Tobin Bridge are the roads that connect the neighborhood to the rest of the region. Somerville and Everett sit just to the north and west, and the North End is a short drive across the Charlestown Bridge. Dris offers same-day delivery to residences in Charlestown. Since parking can be tight, mention a safe place for the driver to stop. A valid government photo ID is required, and the recipient must be at least 21.
Dris covers these parts of Charlestown:
Nearby towns on the Dris delivery list: East Boston, Somerville, Cambridge, Downtown Boston, and the North End. Somerville borders Charlestown to the north, Cambridge is just upriver, and East Boston and the North End are across the water.
Dris delivers Monday to Saturday from 12pm to 11pm and Sunday from 12pm to 10pm. At checkout you pick a delivery window; each window stops taking orders one hour before it starts, and if one is full or closed you choose the next. Charlestown is in the same delivery zone as every other Dris town, so the delivery fee (free on orders of $100 or more after discounts and points, before tax) and the $50 minimum are the same here as anywhere else on the list. ASAP delivery appears at checkout only where it is turned on for your address. See the full delivery rules or the list of every town we deliver to.
Which parts of Charlestown does Dris deliver to?
Dris delivers across Charlestown, including City Square, Thompson Square, and The Navy Yard. Enter your address at checkout to confirm it is inside the delivery zone.
Does Dris deliver to the Navy Yard and Sullivan Square?
Yes. Both are covered, as are Bunker Hill, City Square and the rest of Charlestown. Your address is confirmed at checkout.
Can I order to an apartment in Charlestown?
Yes. Dris delivers to homes where you live or stay, including apartments and short-term rentals, for example a brick row house near Monument Square. Hotels and motels are not eligible.
What do I need to have ready when the driver arrives in Charlestown?
The person who placed the order must be at the door, 21 or older, with a valid government-issued photo ID that matches the name on the order. Without it, the order goes back with the driver.
